Yesterday, January 1, in the village of Siltse in Irshava district, the driver of an "Audi A8" lost control and drove into the river. The investigative team at the scene found out that the driver, a resident of the village of Bilky in Irshava district, had driven off a bridge into the river. A passenger of the car, a 45-year-old resident of the village of Zarichchya was injured and taken to the intensive care unit of Irshava district hospital. The driver suffered minor injuries. The investigation continues. The vehicle was taken to Irshava police impound lot.
The police launched criminal proceeding over this incident under Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is violation of the rules of traffic safety or operation of vehicles by driver.
