In Irshava district, a young driver hit a deaf pedestrian

On May 3, about 2 am, the night in the village of Pryborzhavske in Irshava district, the driver of a "VAZ 2103" hit a 25-year-old pedestrian and fled the scene. Seeing policemen in his yard, the 22-year-old man called 102 to confess to the crime.
Thanks to the rapid response team, that arrived at the scene, the policemen in several minutes managed to track down the culprit of the accident, who had left the victim at the accident scene, fled the scene, and hid his car.

Law enforcement officers found out that the driver of the "Zhiguli", a 22-year-old unemployed resident of Lysychovo was moving on the main road of the village of Pryborzhavske. Failing to notice a 25-year-old pedestrian on time, the man hit him. As it turned out, the victim was deaf…

Fearing responsibility, the driver dropped off two passengers, who were in the car with him, on the outskirts of the village, and hid the car at his friends’. Meanwhile, witnesses to the accident called the police and an ambulance, which took the victim to the intensive care unit. The victim is now in a coma.

The police tracked down the fugitive, and when they were in his yard, a call was received at the 102 hotline with the confession of the accident. It was the same driver who just an hour ago was trying to play hide and seek with the police.

Investigation activities are being conducted with the driver, the vehicle was taken to the impound lot of Irshava Police Department. The driver was tested for alcohol content in the blood – he was sober – the Department of Communication of Transcarpathian regional police informed.
