In the village of Osiy, Irshava district, the police detained a man suspected of murdering his neighbor. Currently, the man is in the temporary detention center in Vynogradiv.
Yesterday, April 18, around 23:00, officers of the Irshava Police Station received a report that there had been a fight between two fellow villagers in the village of Osiy.
Officers of the investigative team arrived at the scene on Shevchenko Street. In the courtyard, the policemen found the body of a 53-year-old man.
The police suspected the victim’s neighbor, who was a party to the fight. The 53-year-old neighbor was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. During the arrest, the police found clothes with blood stains.
The suspect admitted that around 22:00 he had come to his fellow villager’s place. They started fighting. During the conflict, the suspect injured his opponent with a knife. The man died from the injuries.
The investigators opned a criminal proceeding over the incident under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Deliberate Murder). The investigation continues.
