In early May, you will be able to get to Poland directly from Transcarpathia

The pedestrian crossing point "Lubnya – Wolosate" will be open for five days.

The Days of Ukraine and Poland Neighborliness within Transcarpathian region and Podkarpackie Voivodeship revived last year at the initiative of the Regional State Administration gave a powerful impetus to the further development of cross-border cooperation between the two regions.

In early May, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union, Podkarpackie Voivodeship and the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration organize a temporary launch of the "Lubnya-Woloste" pedestrian crossing point on the Ukrainian-Polish border. This location has long been regarded as the most promising point for a full-fledged checkpoint, which would be the first on the Ukrainian-Polish border within Transcarpathian region.

Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński‎ and the Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwiczynski are planning to take part in the opening of the temporary checkpoint. The purpose of the event is to study the potential of the tourist flow between the two border regions.

We invite residents and guests of Transcarpathia to take an opportunity to visit Poland through the pedestrian crossing point, which will be open from May 1 to May 5 from 8.00 to 20.00. Citizens with biometric passport or Schengen visa will be able to cross the border.
