In Chop, customs officers detained on the border the ammunition worth over 7 thousand

January 21, 2014, at the customs post "Vylok" of the Chop customs office, they prevented the attempted illegal importation of rifle ammunition of the brands "Lapua" – 112 pieces of 7.62 mm caliber, "Schnetz" – 52 pieces of 7 62 mm caliber, "Baschieri Pellagri" for shotguns – 10 pieces of 12 mm caliber.

The said ammunition was transported by a Hungarian in a passenger car "MERCEDES-BENZ S320" with registration license plate of the Slovak Republic, which was moving on the simplified customs control lane – "green corridor".

The cartridges were in the hunting bag in the luggage compartment of the vehicle "MERCEDES-BENZ S320". 

The Hungarian citizen recognized the found ammunition as his property. Its total value, according to his explanation, was 7209.58 UAH.

The citizen of Hungary had no permits for smoothbore and rifled weapons ammunition in quantity of 174 pieces. So the Customs Office seized the direct objects of violation of customs regulations – ammunition.
