The International Tourism Exhibition, which will run until March 5, has started in Budapest. Transcarpathia is represented by the stand "Welcome to Zakarpattia".
Promotional materials about the tourism potential of Transcarpathia, Transcarpathian wine and cheese and unique products from the Weaving Museum (the village of Cherna) in Vynogradiv district are presented for visitors.
"Transcarpathia offers European tourists different variaties of recreation: unique Transcarpathian cuisine, hiking trails, hot springs and vats, festivals, vacation in the countryside and so on. We brought everything that Hungarians love so that they come to rest in our region" – the Director of the Economic Development and Trade Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Denys Man says.
According to him, participation in foreign events is very important to Transcarpathia and has a positive impact on cooperation with the Hungarian partners. Following the talks between the Hungarian and Ukrainian parties, in order to ensure comfortable and fast travel of the residents of the region to Hungary and Hungarian tourists to Transcarpathia, a railway link between Mukachevo and Budapest will be launched soon, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
