In August, a ban on night flights will be introduced in Budapest

According to an agreement signed by the city and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, regular flights will not take off or land at Ferenc Liszt International Airport in Budapest from midnight to 5:00 am, the MyHungary.Net reported.  However, the mayor of Budapest, István Tarlos, said that the night ban would not apply to "emergency situations". The Minister of Technology Laszlo Palkovic said that violators would be penalized, while people living near the airport would receive a state subsidy for soundproof windows.
