The solemn lighting of the main Christmas tree of Transcarpathia will take place on St. Nicholas Day, December 19.
The celebration will be attended by leaders of the region and about five hundred children from all over the region.
There will be a theatrical performance with the main characters of the winter holidays played by actors of the Regional Academic Puppet Theatre and a concert program from students of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts. They will be joined by the participants of Uzhgorod Parade of Mikolajczyks, who will finish their march there.
The spectacular celebration will start on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod at 15.00, the announcement posted on the website of Hennadiy Moskal reads.
Recall that the traditional event – Parade of Mikolajczyks – will be held tomorrow. Having originated in Uzhgorod, this fabulous event is expanding its geography all over Transcarpathia.
