In the center of Uzhgorod, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine revealed and shut down an underground "drug market", which offered customers a "wide range" of drugs.
The drug trade was carried out under the guise of a photo salon and legal office. They were making and selling drugs around the clock. With the help of several taxi drivers, the organizers have arranged drug delivery in Uzhgorod and nearby districts.
During the searches, the Security Service officers seized packages with five types of drugs of plant and synthetic origin: amphetamine, pervitin, cannabis, ecstasy pills, capsules of diphenhydramine, and packaged doses prepared for sale. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the seized drugs on the "black market" is almost one hundred thousand hryvnia.
Law enforcers detained at the "workplace" the organizer of the illegal business, and seized from him more than eighty thousand hryvnias.
Criminal proceeding under Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was opened.
Urgent operational and investigative measures to bring to justice all persons involved in drug trafficking continue.
