Yesterday, October 15, at 23.50, Volovets Police Department received from a doctor of the district hospital a report the that a patient with a stab wound had been brought to their surgical department.
The investigative team and the patrol police response team found out that the victim had been wounded in a cafe-bar in the town of Volovets. A 42-year-old local resident quarreled with a 32-year-old resident of the village of Huklyvy, the latter took a knife and stabbed his opponent. The victim suffered a penetrating wound of the chest and a cut of the left arm and is now being treated at the surgical department of the Volovets District Hospital. His life is not in danger.
The investigative team and the patrol police response team found the suspect who had escaped from the scene. He was taken to Volovets police station to establish all the circumstances of the case. The police opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 15, Part 1 of Art. 115 of the CCU, that is, attempted murder. The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
