This was announced today by the public ombudsman for the protection of suffrage of the civil network "OPORA" in Transcarpathia Yaroslav Hulan. According to him, the parties that plan to run in the local elections should have notified the Social Election Commission of their intention in late August. The list of parties that have declared their participation in the local elections is published on the website of the Central Election Commission.
"Political parties have a certain period of time to register, – political scientist Ivan Stryapko said. – Today is September 16. This means that registration began just yesterday. The law does not stipulate when political parties want or need to register. Accordingly, during this period of time, they can register."
According to the political scientist, everyone will have registered by the deadline.
