In 2018, 4,443 Uzhgorod residents were vaccinated against measles

According to the Uzhgorod City Council’s Health Department, measures to stabilize and to monitor the course of the measles epidemic situation are being taken place in the region center.

In 2018, 438 cases of measles were registered in Uzhgorod, includig 266 cases among children. The highest proportion of the patients (25.8% – 113 cases) accounts for children aged 1 to 4 years. Children under 1 years old – 11.4% (50 cases), 5 to 9 years old – 12.1% (53 cases), 10 to 14 years old – 7.3% (32 cases), among adolescent age groups – 4.1% (18 cases). 
207 patients with measles were not vaccinated, 38 patients (8.65%) were confirmed to have been vaccinated, number of vaccinations for 193 people is unknown due to the lack of records. 
In January 2019 (as of January 30, 2019), 90 initial reports of cases of suspected measles have been received, 42 of which are children under 17 (46.7%).
In 2018, 1008 children under 2 years of age (87.2%) were vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, 100% of children aged 2 to 6 years old were vaccinated, 1028 children (73.4%) were revaccinated at the age of 6 years, 1406 Uzhgorod residents (64%) were vaccinated at the age of 7 years and older.
