By 2017 the government intends to increase energy tariffs for the population to economic levels.
This is stated in the program of the government, which was approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and posted on its website on Tuesday night.
According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to eliminate cross-subsidies and set market tariffs for gas and electricity by 2017.
In addition, by 2017, the government expects to implement synchronous compensation mechanisms for poor citizens and to increase budget revenues from energy companies.
As reported, on Tuesday, December 9th, the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said that the Cabinet of Ministers would initiate increases of tariffs for households for all kinds of energy to economic levels.
