Last night, border guards of the Chop detachment, together with their Slovak colleagues, managed to stop four illegal migrants heading from Ukraine to the European Union.
An alarm system notified the border guards of the department "Onokivtsi" about unknown people near the state border. A response team was sent at the site and at the same time the Slovak police were informed about the time and place of the incident.
The offenders were detained on the Slovak side. Slovak border police officers said that the foreigners detected thanks to the information from Ukrainian colleagues did not have any documents on them. They said they were citizens of India. Once the illegal migrants are identified, the circumstances of the offense are established, and tests for COVID-19 are done, they will readmitted to Ukraine.
