Illegal migrants with young children and their likely smugglers detained in Transcarpathia

Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment stopped violators who tried to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.

Yesterday, while monitoring the border, military personnel from the "Horonhlab" department noticed a group of unidentified people heading to the neighboring country. Border guards detained five Afghans, including 2 men, a woman and two underage children. Two more unknown men escaped. In a few minutes, the border guards caught and detained them. It was established that they might be involved in the trafficking of illegal migrants across the state border.

The violators were taken to the temporary detention facility for illegal migrants at the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment. The family with young children were given all the assistance they needed and provided with the necessa facilities. The detained Ukrainians were handed over to the National Police, the men are facing criminal responsibility under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the CCU.
