Today, September 5, marks two months since the appointment of Igor Bondarenko as the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. This was the occasion for his first press conference held in the RSA convention hall.
The head of the regional state administration answered all numerous questions of journalists. Regarding the formation of the united communities, he informed that the draft Prospective plan for the formation of the united communities in the region was in the process of finalization and would be submitted for approval at the next session of the regional council.
The regional authorities are dealing with the problem of waste disposal and recycling. One recycling facility will be opened in the village of Yanoshi in Beregovo district, another one is planned to be built at the expense of the European Union in Uzhgorod district. Regarding the construction of the wind farm on the Borzhava meadow, I. Bondarenko said that a special working group was studying the issue and the final decision would be made taking into account the opinion of local communities in their interests. However we cannot neglect investors, so the authorities will seek a compromise solution.
All the problems of the region will be dealt with by the new team, which continues to be formed. The position of the new leaders will be statesmanlike. "I will not allow anyone to steal budget funds”, – Igor Bondarenko said and promised to regularly communicate with the media and answer urgent questions.
