Hutsul Art: in Uzhgorod, they presented works inspired by mountains (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod, they presented the art of Rakhiv district residents – sons and daughters of the unique mountain land. They presented works of representatives of different generations – from those who are no longer with us, to young artists.

In the halls of the Art Museum named after Bokshay, they exhibited works of the great artist, who gave the name to the institution (Yosyp Bokshay comes from the Hutsul region), as well as those who are still breathing the air of the Carpathian Mountains.

At the opening of the vernissage, they noted: in Rakhiv district, it is hard not to be an artist, because its residents live in a beautiful land – somewhat austere, but very scenic. And artists – both professionals and amateurs – proved it with all the colors of their talents. 

The exhibition, where they also presented the publication about the artistic world of Rakhiv district – became the first one of the planned presentations of art from districts of Transcarpathia – the museum intends to show all the talents of our countrymen.
