Hush! The “quiet season” for wildlife has been announced today!

During the period of mass breeding of wild animals – from April 1 to June 15 – the "quiet season" continues in Transcarpathia.

Thus, in accordance with Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine "On wildlife", enterprises, institutions, organizations and citizens in the course of any activities, that affect or may affect the state of the fauna, are obliged to provide protection of the habitat, breeding conditions and migration routes of the animals.

Thus, the forestry workers remind: it is prohibited to carry out in the natural environment any works and activities that are a source of increased noise and disturbance (shooting, blasting, fireworks, sanitary felling, use of motorized small vessels, rallies and other competitions on vehicles)

Violators of these requirements will be prosecuted in accordance with Art. 87 of the CAO "Violation of the requirements for the protection of habitats and the routes of migration, relocation, acclimatization and cross-breeding of wild animals" – punishable by a fine of thirty to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes for citizens and fifty to seventy non-taxable minimum incomes for officials.

Failure to take measures to prevent the death of wild animals, the deterioration of their habitat and the conditions of migration or hunting for wild animals that are in distress entails a fine of fifty to seventy untaxed minimum incomes.
