Hungary and Ukraine will strengthen cooperation on rehabilitation of water bodies in Transcarpathia. This was stated by the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Semerak, the Chetverta Vlada reports, citing the press service of the Ministry.
According to the Minister, Hungary and Ukraine have agreed to develop a common plan of cooperation where the issue of rehabilitation of water bodies in Transcarpathia will be the priority.
Semerak added that with the financial assistance of Hungary, the works on modernization of the information-measuring system "Tisa" designed for flood forecasting and protection are being performed in Transcarpathia.
Recall that in early November, as a result of heavy rains, rivers in Transcarpathia burst their banks, but the damage could have been be much more severe.
