Hungary takes from the Transcarpathians its fraudulently obtained passports

Hungary will have to take back its passports from the residents of Transcarpathian region, gazeta.ua reported.

Some of them were granted to fraudsters who are not ethnic Hungarians. In order to receive a passport, they provided false documents, but did not even speak Hungarian.

"If someone wants a passport in this country, they get a referral to a university where they are given a certificate that they write, read and speak Hungarian fluently. Second – either the grandmother or the mother were citizens of Hungary", – the former head of Transcarpathian regional state administration Hennadiy Moskal explained.

The official said that in return for a bribe fraudsters receive a certificate confirming they have Hungarian relatives. However, it is too difficult to learn the language for them, because Hungarian is one of the most difficult ones.
