Hungary sent a fighter jet because of a plane from Transcarpathia

The incident, that occurred in the airspace near the border, was reported by the Hungarian and Ukrainian media.

Thus, the Hungarian Air Force sent a fighter jet. The reason was an unidentified airplane that had entered into the country’s airspace from Ukraine (namely through Transcarpathia).

The incident was reported by the military department of this country. According to the MTI, on Saturday afternoon, near Beregsurany, a small airplane flew into Hungary’s airspace without contacting the Hungarian civilian air traffic control. The Hungarian Defense Forces sent Gripen fighters.

NATO’s Integrated Air Command Center checked the Hungarian Army’s readiness. The Hungarian Army was in contact with the regional police. After several maneuvers, the plane left the airspace of Hungary in a few minutes.
