Hungary intends to build a new bridge across the Tisa

This is stated in the report of the embassy of Ukraine in Hungary, the Depo.Zakarpattya informs.

On March 1, the bilateral meeting with the Deputy Secretary of State for Regional and Border Cooperation of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Kiss-Partiu and the Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Istvan Iygyarto took place at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The Hungarian party stated that a feasibility study on the construction of a new bridge across the Tisa river near the city of Chop would be developed and, after 2020, the funding for its construction would be found.

Currently, they are working to reduce the travel time of Mukachevo-Budapest train from 7 to 6 hours.

"During the meeting, important issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, first of all, the current situation regarding infrastructure projects of the Framework Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary on the provision of a loan, which was signed on November 24, 2016 in Budapest: Bypass road of the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the checkpoint "Luzhanka"; M-24 Velyka Dobron – Mukachevo – Beregovo – checkpoint "Luzhanka", km 24 + 675 – km 49 + 715; M-23 Beregovo – Vynogradiv – V. Kopanya, km 2 + 700 – km 21 + 400; M-26 checkpoint "Vylok" – Vylok – Nevetlenfolu – checkpoint "Dyakove", km 0 + 000 – km 10 + 700; M-08 bypass road of the city of Uzhgorod – checkpoint "Uzhgorod", km 0 + 000 – km 14 + 900", – the statement reads.
