Today, October 12, in the Uzhgorod Hungarian High School the ceremonial opening of the school after reconstruction was held. Through bilateral agreement within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, Hungary has allocated funds for the complete replacement of the heating system, and all the windows in the High School. Headmaster of the school, Petro Kovacs said that the heating system here has not been renovated since 1974, i.e. since the opening. In winter it was very cold in classrooms, because warm air came out through old windows. Now, 98 windows, 2 doors, 963 meters of pipes and 47 radiators in the school have been replaced.
The opening was attended by the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Bachkai and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Zsolt Nemeth, who in his speech could not resist to promote a pro-Hungarian candidate in the 68th constituency Laszlo Brenzovych. A senior official also said that Hungary makes a lot of efforts so that Ukraine could soon become a full EU member.
By the way, the Hungarian High School in Uzhgorod has become the 23rd implemented project out of 73 planned within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
