Hungarian policemen gave Uzhgorod students reflective vests (PHOTOS)

"Year of Safety in Uzhgorod" started today in the regional center of Transcarpathia with a charity event, which was held in the school №10 with Hungarian language of instruction.

The students of this and also schools №№2, 8 and Drugets Hungarian gymnasium met with the delegation of Hungarian law enforcement officers from neighboring cities of Hungary and the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhayla, as well as other diplomats, officers of the Patrol Police and representatives the regional and city authorities.

Speaking to children and teachers, the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhayla said that since starting working in our region, he had driven more than 50 thousand kilometers and knows from experience what the situation on the roads is, therefore Hungary prepared reflective vests, which will be given to students so that they feel safe

The deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Viktor Mikulin said that this year Hungary for the first time in the history of Ukraine gives money for repair of the roads, and that Transcarpathia will receive about UAH 1.5 billion and this too will contribute to traffic safety.

The head of the Patrol Police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo Yuriy Martsenyshyn told about the program "School Patrol", which will soon start in the school in Korytnyany in Uzhgorod district, and then in Uzhgorod Hungarian school №10.  
In this pilot project, all students will be invited to participate in the selection of school patrol team.

 

Students receied reflective vests brought by the Hungarian policemen, and 150 vests were handed over to officers of patrol police.
