The festival was opened by the chamber choir "Cantus", which performed the anthems of Ukraine and Hungary. Congratulatory speeches were made by the Hungarian Consul General in Uzhgorod Joszef Buhaylo, the authorized Hungarian official Istvan Hrezha and Viktor Mykulin, the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
They emphasized that the first "HUNGARY FEST" fulfills an important mission to strengthen Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.
During the fest, visitors were able to taste traditional dishes, see the process of jam making, try to make a Hungarian doll.
During the day there were also master classes, performances by artistic groups from Hungary and Romania. At 17.30, everyone is invited to the regional Philharmonic where the performance of students from the secondary school in the village of Velyka Palad and rock opera in Hungarian "On the Wings of the Falcon" by the collective "Mandala" will take place.
