The well-known Transcarpathian artist Olga Skakandiy started making dolls not so long ago.
Nevertheless, her portrait dolls several times have been exhibited at various presentations in Transcarpathia and beyond. And when the ambitious project of the Transcarpathian Regional Local Lore Museum was implemented, Mrs. Olga was commissioned to make the Ukrainian heroes of the glorious times of the Transcarpathian history. Now, the artist’s fame has reached Europe. Today, the glorious Hung chieftains made by Olga Skakandy are decorating the exhibition halls of the Hungarian tourist town of Rokomoz.
