The Consulate General of Hungary does not advise citizens of Hungary to visit Transcarpathia on March 16-18 due to possible provocations.
This is said in the statement of the diplomatic institution on its page in Facebook, the UNN reported.
On March 15, the anniversary of the establishment of the Carpathian Ukraine is celebrated in Transcarpathia, and on March 17, local nationalist organizations announce the "March of the Glory of Carpathian Ukraine Heroes" in Uzhgorod.
"Due to unstable political situation and the situation with public security, in order to avoid any provocations from March 16 to March 18, we do not advise Hungarian groups or travelers to visit Transcarpathia (in particular, the cities of Khust, Uzhgorod), and ask to avoid visiting the Veretsky pass on these days…", – the post of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod on Facebook page reads.
