Recently, in Hungary, as part of the activities of the Integrated Border Management Concept, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine last year, there was a meeting of experts of analytical divisions of Ukrainian and Hungarian border guard agencies.
During the meeting, held in Budapest, the experts analyzed the situation on the common border and the conditions and factors that have had an impact on the nature of threats in 2015. In addition, the forecast of the situation in 2016 was made. In particular, they noted possible change in the traffic of migrants on the eastern route of their movement to the EU, due to active measures to combat illegal migration. Thus, the results of the joint risk analysis confirmed that now the migration route may run from Romania through Transcarpathia towards Hungary and Slovakia.
Also, during the meeting, it was noted that last year the situation on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border was tense but under control. The police management in Hungary positively noted the work of experts and state of information interaction.
