Unique certificate data containing the dates of birth and death of Transcarpathians living in the second half of XIX – early XX century, have been destroyed in Uzhgorod.
Zaholovok.com.ua informs that the initiator of the destruction of archival documents is the management of Transcarpathian Regional Administration of Justice. They did this without letting the officials responsible for national heritage know.
Accordingly, many Transcarpathians will never learn about their families. Since these records were never duplicated, they destroyed the only ones.
