Hundreds of thousands stolen: details of a high-profile robbery in Uzhgorod

In Uzhgorod, unknown men snatched from a woman a bag with more than 200,000 hryvnias, the investigation is underway. 
This was reported to the UNIAN by the spokeswoman of the Patrol Police in Transcarpathian region Maryana Loshak. According to Loshak, at about 5:00 pm, the patrol police in Transcarpathian region received a report that unknown men had robbed a woman on Shevchenko lane in Uzhgorod. Patrol policemen, who arrived at the scene of the crime, talked to the applicant, who had reported the crime. 
"The applicant, who is an employee of the laboratory, reported that his colleague, an employee of the same laboratory, had been robbed when she left the premises to hand over the proceeds," – Loshak added. 
According to the laboratory employee, the stolen bag contained 201,400 hryvnias. 
The woman was in a state of shock at the time of the arrival of patrol policemen. "Fortunately, she was not harmed," – Loshak added. The spokeswoman also reported that all crews of the patrol police were engaged in the search for the robbers, and investigative and operative activities are currently underway.
