UAH 4.2 million has been allocated to Transcarpathians for the urgent transplant operations outside Ukraine
At the regular session of the Regional Council, the deputies approved amendments to the program "Care" to strengthen social protection in 2015. It is about increasing the program funding from UAH 23.8 million to 26.8 million. The deputies supported the proposition to provide for UAH 4.2 million in the program to grant one-time financial aid for urgent transplant operations outside Ukraine on the basis of appropriate medical opinion and request of the RSA Department of Health about the necessity of it.
Thus, Transcarpathians in need of urgent complex treatment can receive assistance and save their health and often life.
This proposition was previously voiced by a deputy of the Regional Council Andriy Baloha, the decision was prepared by Transcarpathian deputies on the proposal of MP Viktor Baloha.
"Members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council decided to further allocate from the budget more than UAH 5 million for treatment of seriously ill Transcarpathians.
Although this is the competence and duty of the Ministry of Health, but today, unfortunately, we have to rely exclusively on our own recources. Therefore, no matter how difficult the situation in the country and the region is, we will be helping Transcarpathians in need of immediate treatment.
I am grateful to the deputies of all factions and unaffiliated deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council for having voted for this decision, because every human life is priceless!" – Andriy Baloha wrote.
