The Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Hryniv said that he would have a serious conversation with representatives of political forces that promoted Serhiy Sharanych as the chief of the regional police in Transcarpathia.
"I will have a serious conversation with the Minister of Internal Affairs on the appropriateness of the appointment of Sharanych. I see that there are many complaints about him in Transcarpathia. Lunchenko and Avakov should give an explanation. I am ready to protest with you to find out the reasons for this appointment," – the official said answering the question of the journalist Larysa Romaniuk.
By the way, Mr. Hryniv first asked the participants of the press conference, "When was Sharanych appointed?" When told that after the Revolution of Dignity, he asked: "So why didn’t you protest?". The representative of the President was told that there were protests but it did not work. Somewhat surprised Hryniv promised to draw attention to this issue.
