On September 27, in Mukachevo, the first National Police of Ukraine dog handling championship will begin at the "Kharchovyk" stadium (Pyvovarna st., 18 a). About three dozen of the best dog handlers of the Ukrainian police, border guard and prison services from all over Ukraine will take part in it.
The Transcarpathian police will be represented by two participants: Lt. Serhiy Svystak and his german shepherd Hraf, and police sergeant Ivan Leshanych with his shepherd dog Alpha.
The dogs will be competing in various exercises: overcoming obstacle, catching criminals, searching for weapons, drugs and so on.
In 2013, Transcarpathian dog handlers won 12th place at the similar championship of Ukrainian police in the city of Odesa, the site of the regional police informs.
