How well can Transcarpathian media produce good news?

In Uzhgorod Press Club, there was the meeting, the main theme of which was the launch of the information project "Good news day" in Transcarpathia in March of this year. They discussed the interim (semi-annual) results of the project.

The "Good news day" was initiated by the Uzhgorod Press Club together with Yevhen Bobrov (former head of the Department of Culture, Sport, Youth and Family of Uzhgorod Executive Committee), the head of the Creative Union "Mask" with the support of the Department. Every month, on the 20th day, Transcarpathian media are invited to join the initiative and provide the most positive news at least for one day.   It was said by Iryna Breza, the head of the Uzhgorod press-club. 10 Transarpathian mass media, including mostly online publications, some regional, city and district newspapers, supported the idea.

According to her, after the start of the project, Uzhgorod attracted attention of nationwide media and organizations, with which the press club continue to actively collaborate in the context of spreading "good news."

According to Yevhen Bobrov, the results of the project and the announcement of the winner will take place in January 2014.   The prize fund is formed with the support of the Department of Culture, Sport, Youth and Family of Uzhgorod City Executive Committee, Creative Union "Mask", TM "Zakarpatsky pryanyk", eBook of complaints of Ukraine and other patrons. The main prize for the publication is a laptop or a computer (at their choice).
