How we fished out debris from the Uzh (PHOTOS)

Journalists of our publication initiated a campaign to clean the Uzh. In this way, we wanted to remind tourists not to leave rubbish behind. 

After lunchtime we went to ​​the river under the bridge that leads to the Pidhradsky park. We were standing downstream and catching anything that was floating towards us, or rather "gifts" from Transcarpathians to the river. These include cucumbers, processed cheese, polystyrene, PET bottles, cellophane chips bags, remnants of swimming rubber rings. In half an hour we gathered a considerable pile. Then we added to it what we later gathered on the shore – diapers, empty bottles.

Meanwhile, tourists were passively watching and none of them joined us.   

We will continue to arrange such campaigns and invite all concerned Uzhgorod residents to join us: clean the places where you rest.
