The preparatory meeting for the traditional Uzhgorod festival "Sakura Fest" was held in the City Council. The estimated date of the festival is April 20 – May 8. During this time period, lots of events will take place – both traditional and completely new.
In particular, during the sakura festival, the Nationwide festival of chamber art "Under the sakura bloom", wine festivals for professional and amateur winemakers "Sakura Wine" and "Sun drink" will be held. The former is to be held in the "Owl’s Nest", the latter – on Tolstoy Street, where the fair of agricultural products will take place. There will also be the Art Laboratory "Everybody can", "Long & music" – Grand Prix in long jumps, bike ride, various gastronomic locations and more. It will finish with the "Maisya Fest" in the Bozdosh park.
The coordinator of the event is the utility company "Uzh Fest", the head of which Vasy Krainyai assured that the definitive list of all events would be agreed and published soon.
They will also hold a press conference for the media, the organizers will tell about all the attractions. In late March, employees of the Department of Economics and Business of the City Council will take part in the 23rd international tourism exhibition UITT: "UKRAINE – Travel and Tourism" to be held in Kyiv from 29 to 31 of March, 2017, during which they will be popularizing and informing about the "Sakura Fest" and general tourist attractiveness of Uzhgorod.
