How Uzhgorod residents rescued… a cat (Photo-fact)

Since the good news in our time are not so frequent, I will tell you about the rescue operation which took place in Uzhgorod near the cultural and educational college.

When I returned home, my mother informed in front of the window, on a cherry tree, there was a cat who was afraid to go down to the ground, seemed to have been there for more than a day and was getting weak.     So we called rescuers. The operator said that the crew was eliminating a fire in Kamyanytsia, and they would take this call later. And several minutes later, the guys in overalls were discussing which ladder to take out of the truck…

Another 5 minutes and after a climb to over 5-meter height (and the cat immediately climbed even higher up to thin branches) and a short chase on the tree, the animal was caught by the withers.   

The rescuer with the cat came down to the applause of neighbors. One of them, incidentally, recognized the troublemaker, "Oh, it is Vira Vasylivna’s cat!" and, taking the animal from the brave rescuer, headed with it to the house. I hope that the black ruffian learned the lesson and will do it again… And big respect and gratitude to the rescuers!
