After participating in the Regional Development Council in Transcarpathia and visiting the "Krasne Pole" memorial near Khust, the head of the state met with Uzhgorod residents.
It took place on Petofi square, on a specially constructed stage. Hundreds of Uzhgorodians listened to the President. Petro Poroshenko was talking about Ukraine and our region.
In particular, he emphasized that everything that had been achieved in the country was achieved through joint efforts of all people. He also expressed his respect for Transcarpathian soldiers and volunteers.
He said that the main enemies of Ukraine are the aggressor and poverty. And also, he promised to personally control the situation with roads in Transcarpathia. He also promised to increase pensions and benefits for large families.
