Today, on Epiphany, several thousand Uzhgorod citizens gathered on Pravoslavna embankment for the traditional consecration of water and prayer for peace in Ukraine. The great consecration of water was conducted by Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod Theodore.
Many people gathered at the consecration, lining up along the Uzh over the entire embankment to Petofi square
At the same time, dozens of Uzhgorodians took part in the tradition of bathing in the consecrated waters of the Uzh river. Under the supervision of rescuers, children and adults took part in the ritual near the regional philharmonic.
