The Cabinet of Ministers has developed and promulgated new social standards that will take effect in Ukraine after the end of the quarantine related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal posted the
relevant standards on Saturday, April 25, on his Facebook page.
“Ukraine, like the whole world, must learn to live by new standards, by new social behavior. The relaxation of quarantine restrictions does not mean that the threat will pass," – he stressed.
According to the new standards:
crowds will have to be avoided;
it will be required to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters between people;
it will be required to disinfect surfaces indoors;
sanitizers should be everywhere;
mask and gloves will have to be worn in crowded places;
employers will be required to provide all workers with means of protection.
Also, according to the government’s plan, a transition to touchless economy is expected, which includes:
online sales;
non-cash payments;
contactless delivery;
special service in supermarkets;
special service in cafes and restaurants.
It should be noted that the quarantine introduced in Ukraine on March 12 will last until May 11. On April 24, the government presented a five-stage quarantine phase-out plan. With a favorable epidemic situation, the plan is scheduled to begin on May 11.
