How Transcarpathians treated Czechs with cheese (PHOTOS)

Czech Vysočina region has celebrated its 15th anniversary. On this occasion, crowded celebrations were held in the administrative center of the region Jihlava, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Council informed.

The commemoration of the first jubilee of the partner region was also attended by the official delegation of Transcarpathian region. The Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko congratulated the Czech partners on the holiday.

"The cooperation between Transcarpathian region of Ukraine and Vysočina region of the Czech Republic is a model of regional cooperation not only for our fraternal peoples, but also across Europe. 

 Today, this cooperation has left a good "Czech imprint" in almost district of Transcarpathia. It is embodied in more than 50 schools, kindergartens, hospitals that have been constructed or reconstructed with financial participation of Vysočina. This year, we are jointly implementing more than 20 such projects." – Volodymyr Chubirko said.

The celebrations were held in the open air amphitheater in the Heulos park. More than 300 participants of folk art from six countries presented their talents on the amphitheater stage. Transcarpathia was represented by the folk song ensemble "Rozmariya" of the regional center of culture. Transcarpathians also presented food and agricultural products of the region, treated Vysočina residents with bograch Hutsul brynza cheese.
