Deputies like to push a pen – this can be said about any deputies of different levels of government. However, in Transcarpathia this year, the regional council, compared with the previous one, was working quite actively. This is evidenced by the number of the adopted decisions, which of course is not an indicator of quality, no matter how impressive the numbers are.
Generally, as noted in the report of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Chairman Mykhailo Rivis, during the year, the deputies of the Regional Council of the seventh convocation adopted 533 decisions at 12 plenary sessions. It is one and a half times more than that for the same period last year and accounts for almost 40% of all decisions adopted by predecessors during 2010-2015.
The Transcarpathian Regional Council adopted 57% more decisions than their predecessors during the same period (it is only quantitative measure, analysis of the quality of those decisions is a more serious topic). The commissions of the Council had 79 meetings during the year. In total, the Regional Council adopted 46 different sectoral programs during this period.
