At this time, the reconstruction of the facades of buildings on Sandor Petofi Square continues. They are being brought to a decent look, but there is something that still significantly spoils the appearance of the buildings and negates all the work done. Those are horrible signboards of the businesses on Petofi Square. They do not comply with the rules and are not acceptable for Uzhgorod.
Every sign must meet certain standards and can be installed subject to an individual permit from the City Council.But most importantly, it should be aesthetically attractive and meet all the requirements.
The municipal police must start to fine businesses, and in case of ignoring the rules, the signs must be dismantled.Pictured are the most egregious violators, who have to change the look of their signage to meet the standards…
I urge the city government, Bohdan Andriyiv, Istvan Tsap to arrange a raid on the square before the end of the restoration.
Doing business in the historic district is a privilege. Therefore, entrepreneurs have to play by the established rules!"
