How the brides took part in Uzhgorod parade

This Sunday was the day of brides in Uzhgorod –  the sixth traditional parade gathered hundreds of participants.

Creative and bold images, not romantic ones were in trend. The girls, dressed and decorated for immediate marriage were in minority. Bizarre and provocative images dominated: biker’s girlfrinds, "colorful" brides with excessive candid and stylized.

Among them – the Chess Queen and the Clown and the Witch, and the Forest Nymph … Some girls inspired by punk and rock styles, seasons, of course, vintage, others were just creative. There were retro images, and the most modern ones, but what concerns the details, the participants were just having fun: their bouquets shone, contained cola cans or even books … and even a cat.

After evaluation of the jury, which took place at Zakarpattya Hotel, the Parade of the city went to the Theater Square where all the groups could present themselves and organizers could give gifts and award the best and most creative participants. As pointed out in the lobby of celebration, the Parade of Brides is gradually transformed into a carnival, which obviously Uzhgorod badly lacks…
