"Over the three years, the salaries of Transcarpathian mayors have grown very differently. For example, Andriy Baloha’s (Mukachevo) has grown by only by 15%, Bohdan Andriyiv’s (Uzhgorod) – by 2.5 times, Ivan Lanyo’s (Svalyava) and Volodymyr Kashchuk’s (Khust) – by 4.5 times. The mayor of Khust is the only mayor of the district center in Transcarpathia, who earned more than one million last year. Mayors of cities with million population do not earn that much," – journalist Yaroslav Svitlyk says.
