Christmas holidays are almost over, and foresters can sum up the sales of green beauties. This year, foresters of Transcarpathian region prepared for sale 35,465 labeled trees. Mizhhirya, Verkhnohirsky and Volovets forestries were the most active sellers.
As of January 11, 2017, regional foresters sold Christmas trees at 458,336 UAH, the average price of a tree in forest enterprises was 66 UAH.
This year, Transcarpathians were buying more trees from authorized sellers, in order to have a high-quality, environmentally friendly and aesthetically perfect product. The innovation of Transcarpathian forestries – potted Christmas trees – were also in demand.
In total, foresters cut and sold 7,163 trees.
