During the election of the President of Ukraine on May 25, some groups of the population in Transcarpathia will not be too active. It refers parimarily to the ethnic minorities. In particular, the Hungarians. Their turnout, according to the sociologists, will be low.
This was announced on May 22, during a press conference in Uzhgorod Press Club by the sociologist, the head of the Association of Sociologists in Transcarpathia Oleksandr Pelin.
According to him, the turnout of the Hungarians in this election will be a little over 27%. Slovaks will not be very active too. "The turnout of ethnic groups, such as Hungarians in Transcarpathia, will be low – 27%," – Oleksandr Pelin said.
Throughout the region, the sociologist predicts the turnout of about 63-67%. Among Transcarpathians, men show more interest – 65.8%. Women – 6% less.
