In the early hours of the new year, Irshava District Police Department received information that on the highway Mukachevo-Rohatyn-Lviv, at the entrance to the village of Siltse in Irshava district, a car BMW had caught fire.
The investigative team headed by the first deputy chief of Irshava district police department Lieutenant Colonel Myron Chernychko immediately arrived at the scene.
As law enforcement officers found out, a 20-year-old driver from Vynogradiv district, driving a car "BMW", lost control, drove into a ditch and collided with a tree. This resulted in the inflammation of the car.
The driver received injuries, and the passengers – a 14-year-old girl and a 26-year-old man from the village of Kamyanske died at the scene.
By the way, about two weeks ago, this deceased girl was wanted by Irshava police because she and her 20-year-old boyfriend had left the house to Kyiv region, without notifying her mother…
This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigation on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules by persons driving a vehicle). The driver faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years – Vita Horzov, Irshava City Police reported.
