Holubtsi (cabbage rolls) will be tasted in Rakhiv district

‘Krayany Rachivshchyny’ organization invites Transcarpathians and guests of the region to visit the festival ‘Bychkivski holubtsi’.

A double celebration will be held in the village of Velykyi Bychkiv on August 4-5 – 639^th anniversary of the settlement and the second festival ‘Bychkivski holubtsi’.

The football tournament for the Cup of honored master of sports Ivan Yaremchuk will be held on the town stadium on August 4 at 11 a.m.

A children’s playground will be solemnly opened in the House of Culture at 12.00. Tennis, volleyball, chess and checkers competitions will be held in the village of Velykyi Bychkiv on this day.

The solemn procession of the festival participants ‘Bychkivski holubtsi’ will start from the village council for the next day at 2 p.m. All the performance will take place in the village park, where you can not only enjoy the main dish of the festival, but also get acquainted with exhibitions of Velykyi Bychkiv neighborhoods.

A round table discussion ‘Bychkiv and Bychkivtsi’ will be held at 5 p.m. The inhabitants and guests of the village will choose ‘Miss Bychkiv 2012’ at 7 p.m.
