"The Obozrevatel" defined the basic rules of safety for tourists who spent holidays skiing on the mountain slopes.
Rule 1 – make sure to have Medical Insurance before the holiday.
Rule 2 – select routes in accordance with your skills.
Rule 3 – study the state of slopes selected for skiing: evidence of regular avalanches – typical walls of stone, turf, parts of trees, grass.
Rule 5 – control the speed and direction in order not to endanger other skiers.
Rule 6 – never use alcohol and check your health before going to ski.
Rule 7 – if you have fallen – do not stay in the way of other skiers.
Rule 8 – if there is no lift, climb up on the right edge of the slope.
Rule 9 – cross the slope carefully, making sure that no one is going down.
Rule 10 – do not stop at stretches that are poorly visible, as the skier who is going down, can not see you.
The tragic events in the Carpathian Mountains, which occurred in the first months of the new year, proved: a reminder of safety rules during the holidays is not superfluous.
